Timur Moon Ingredients

Timur Pepper Pure Extract

The hero of the scent, with fascinating contrasts of grapefruit, passionfruit-like fruitiness, and a darker woodsy, peppery aspect.

Grown in the Surkhet district of Nepal and harvested by the Kuvindedaha community in the Salyan district of Nepal. The oil is obtained fom the whole dried “peppercorns” (technically berries) via an eco-friendly, supercritical fluid extraction process.

Pine Essential Oil

This Siberian pine oil gives a boost to Timur pepper’s aromatic facet. Procured from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine, the oil is extracted from pine needles and twigs via a steam distillation.

Guaiacwood Essential Oil

Also known as “Palo Santo”, guaiacwood adds more base, depth and darkness, while contributing a soft, smokey addictive facet.

Grown in Paraguay’s Gran Chaco region, the oil is then extracted from the tree’s bark via a steam distillation.

Gurjum Balsam Oil

Gurjum adds depth to the fragrance and helps sustain Timur’s inherent fruitiness.

Grown and processed in Malaysia, the oil is obtained by tapping and purifying the tree’s sap.

Parsley Seed Essential Oil

Parsley adds a fresh aromatic aspect to the formula.

The oil is procured from France and is obtained via a steam distillation of the seeds of the plant.

Linalool Coeur

Linalool’s beautiful citrus and rosewood aroma pairs well with the citrus-grapefruit aspect of Timur, reinforcing its “heart”. It also helps boost diffusion of the scent.

Linalool is a natural isolate that can be obtained from a variety of plant materials. This one is obtained from FSC-certified U.S. lumberyard waste (wood chips) and the oil is obtained via a renewable solvent extraction.

Triethyl Citrate (Solvent)

The primary purpose of using a solvent in candle fragrance is to make the fragrance blend more easily with the wax and ensure that it is evenly distributed throughout the candle, contributing to a good burn and good scent performance.

Despite its hard-to-pronounce name, Triethyl Citrate (“Tri” for short) is produced simply by combining sugarcane alcohol with citric acid obtained from plant starch or citrus fruits.

Coconut Wax Blend

We currently use the same wax formula, composed of three ingredients, across all our scents.

The majority of the blend is high-melt point coconut oil. The rest of the formula is soy wax and organic beeswax.

Note: The reason our candles burn so much better than most other candles that claim to use a coconut wax blend is due to our blend’s much higher coconut oil content.

The Hero: Timur Pepper

Our Timur Pepper extract presents an astonishing profile, with a complex mix of grapefruit, guava, orange flower, pepper, slightly spicy, and basil-like aromatic notes, and a warm woodsy aspect.

Candle Burning Tips

Following your first burn, each time you use your candle, trim the wick to 3⁄8” (about the width of your pinky finger) before you light it. This helps ensure a smaller, safer flame and less soot.

Each time you burn your candle, burn it for 2-3 hours. This will not only maximize the fragrance throw, but also help avoid "tunneling," where the candle burns down the middle, leaving wax around the edges.

For safety reasons:

▶ Don’t burn your candle when less than a 1/2” of wax remains.
▶ Never leave a burning candle unattended!
